Tri-City leaders file lawsuit against President Obama over Yucca Mountain
Three Tri-City leaders officially file a lawsuit against President Obama for scrapping plans to build the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Facility.
Bob Ferguson, a former Department of Energy employee, tells us they filed the suit today after Energy Secretary Steven Chu said he would not pay any attention to their concerns.
Yucca Mountain was scheduled to receive nuclear waste from sites across the nation, including Hanford.
Ferguson says it's termination could pose health risks to the community.
