Local farmers and chefs working to boost tourism in Washington

Chefs, farmers and state workers are working to boost tourism in Washington.
They ate their way from Yakima to the Tri-Cities to forge connections between area farmers and chefs.
They met in Kennewick today for a Culinary and Agritourism Workshop.
Leaders say this will increase tourism in the state by pointing out Washington's specialty crops.
It's a relationship that many think needs work in our agricultural community.
Tracy Probst, from Schreiber and Sons Farm in Eltopia, attended the workshop. She says, "Just by listening to the speakers today a lot of us are unaware of the others role in the community. I do think we need to be cohesive and make the Tri-Cities an ag/tourism destination."
Tourism is the fourth largest industry in the state. It brought in $14.2 billion last year.
