Enrollment Numbers Released for Pasco School District

Today was the first day of school for Pasco students in grades K-5, 6 and 9.

Tomorrow is the first day for all students.

The staggered start is for the purpose of helping students transition to middle school and high school, therefore today's enrollment figures don't include all students.

Today's enrollment included 7,496 K-5 students; 1,123 sixth-graders, and approxiamately 857 new freshmen at the high schools.  Grades K-5 show an increased enrollment of 332 students, which is an increase of 4.9%, over first day figures for 2010.  These figures do not include new kindergartners at Captain Gray, which will be included in the next count.
