Families invited to join Pasco Schools alert system

Pasco School District parents can now sign up for a free notification service that allows the Pasco School District to quickly alert staff and parents of emergencies.

The emergency notifications are sent to parents' cell phones as text messages.  There is no charge for the service, but individuals should check with their carriers to see if message and data rates apply.  Most cell companies do not charge for in-coming messages.

Signing up for the service is simple.  All that is required is a first name, last name and a cell phone number.

To access the district website, click here.

When you submit the form you will receive a text within a couple of days asking you to reply to verify your request.  After that you will receive any emergency notifications posted by the District.  You may also cancel the service at any time.

Those without computer access or who need more information can contact the District Information Systems office at 543-6757.
