Radio host braves cold to collect toys
A Tri-Cities radio host is spending the next eleven days outside in the cold to collect toys for less fortunate children.
Jaxon with Eagle 106.5 FM is living in a tent on top of a 30 foot high scaffolding outside Ranch and Home in Kennewick.
He'll stay there 24 hours a day through next Friday, December 14th.
Jaxon is broadcasting the station's morning show from the scaffolding each day.
He says he knows what it is like to spend the holidays without any presents.
"When I was a kid, we we're pretty poor. And there were many Christmases where we didn't have any toys. And I remember the feeling you have as a kid as you go to school, and all the kids are talking about the toys they got for Christmas. And you sometimes like that you did get a toy, and I remember that as a child, and I remember how it affected my parents. And I don't want any child, I don't want any family, and parents to go through that, because that's tough" said Jaxon.
If you want to donate, you can drop of toys, gift cards and cash anytime between 5 AM and 7 PM.
