More Pot Use in WA Schools

More students are smoking pot in school districts around the state since Washington voters legalized the use of recreational marijuana for adults.

Superintendent of Public Instruction Randy Dorn says some school districts are reporting an increase of pot possession and use by young people since the initiative passed last month.

However, the law changes nothing about the rules in public schools.  Marijuana is still illegal on school property and for anyone under 21.

School districts are required to enforce a "no drugs" policy if they want to receive federal funding.
