PUD Customers Charged Pasco Tax

Several hundred Franklin PUD customers who live in the county will be getting a refund, after accidentally being charged a city of Pasco utility tax.

A software glitch is responsible for adding the tax to the bills of two to three hundred residents in the county -- including some in the donut hole.

The PUD is combing the bills of county customers for the past three years to find those who were charged the pasco tax.  They'll receive a refund in about a month.
