Post-Christmas Shopping

After taking a day off from holiday shopping yesterday, many residents across our region are back in stores today looking for more deals.

Some store managers say today is just as busy as the day before Christmas.

Many residents filled stores to get ready for next year's holiday.

Hundreds of shoppers packed the Target in Richland to buy discounted wrapping paper, greeting cards and boxes and bows for next year's Christmas.

And of course, lots of people hit the stores to return gifts.

There was almost a non-stop line for returns at the Richland Target.

Some shoppers say they want to return their unwanted or unneeded gifts as soon as possible, so they can do some more shopping.

"I bought too many stocking stuffers, and that's my MO. So I decided to take them back" said Carmen Sawyer, who returned gifts today.

"Fairly good deals. 50% off mostly everything Christmassy. So now is the time to save some money for next year" said Cheri Walters, shopper.

The store managers we spoke with say although a lot of people are coming in for deals on discounted Christmas decorations, most of their traffic today is from returns.
