West Richland teen returns from dream trip to Seattle
A West Richland teenager who beat cancer is back home after taking a dream vacation over the weekend in Seattle, thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
17 year-old Spencer Anderson had lymphoma earlier this year before overcoming the disease.
This weekend, the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted his wish to go to a Seahawks game and learn about sports broadcasting from NFL broadcasters.
Before going to Sunday night's game against the 49ers, Anderson went to the team's training facility.
He also met with several NFL sports broadcasters, and was even a guest on a pre-game radio show.
"At the time, it was 'wow, I'm actually doing this. I'm meeting the coach, I'm meeting the players,' and it was kind of surreal" said Anderson.
Anderson says he wants to become a sports broadcaster.
He does have to go through some routine scans to make sure the cancer doesn't come back - but his doctor says there is nothing to worry about.
