Washout Closes Road West of Ellensburg

A road west of Ellensburg is closed tonight-- after ice blocking a ditch causes moving water to washout part of the roadway.
The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office says the road affected is Barnes Road. Barnes Road connects Hanson Road to Brown Road. The road is closed at the washout, but people can still get to their homes from either side of the closure.
No word yet on when Barnes Road will reopen.
