Martin Luther King Ceremony
Monday marks the Martin Luther King Junior Holiday, and there are several events happening around the region.
Columbia Basin College is holding a bell ringing ceremony at noon on the CBC campus.
At Walla Walla University there are gwo events scheduled for Monday. The first event, titled "War on Poverty: The Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr." will be held at 11 a.m. in the University Church.
Then, at 7 pm, the same speaker will talk at Village Hall on the university campus. Her evening presentation is titled "Where Do We Go From Here? Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Final Advice for Breaking Poverty Barriers."
