KGH helps Make-A-Wish patient's dream come true
Kennewick General Hospital helps a cancer survivor's wish come true.
18-year-old Melinda Marchiano, who is in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma, has only one wish.
Her wish is to visit as many Children's Hospitals as possible to spread hope and encouragement to other children with cancer.
On Sunday, with the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Melinda and her mother visited Kennewick General Hospital while en route to hospitals in Boise and Salt Lake City.
She spoke about the importance of cancer patients having the support of friends and loved ones.
During a brief reception, Melinda, who is from Nipomo, California, shared with staff copies of the book she wrote titled "Grace: A Child's Intimate Journey Through Cancer and Recovery".
