CBC CAMP Program gets new 5 year grant

The Columbia Basin College (CBC) College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) has received a new five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education for $2.1 million.  CBC CAMP ranked the highest in the grant competition over 35 other competitors.

CAMP aids migrant farm workers or children of migrant farm workers who are on a bachelor's degree seeking track with academic, career, and personal counseling in their first year of college.

Nearly 90 percent of CBC's CAMP students complete their first year of college and continue on to finish their second year.  CBC has had the CAMP grant since 2002.
