Lourdes Counseling Center Programs Receive $20,000 Donation
The Three Rivers Community Foundation made a $20,000 donation to two programs at Lourdes Counseling Center.
The Children’s Day Program is an intensive mental health treatment program for children, adolescents (ages 8-18) and their families. The program provides a structured and safe environment to develop skills for coping with emotional and behavioral problems within an academic setting and in the home environment. This specialized and unique program is for children struggling with mental health who can no longer function in a traditional classroom setting.
For the fifth year in a row, the Three Rivers Community Foundation has supported Children’s Summer Day Program through a $10,000 donation. Along with other community supporters United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties, Rural Families Education Endowment, Pasco-Kennewick Rotary and the Retro Riders, Lourdes is able to offer this summer program that would otherwise not be made available to children in need without the community’s support.
In addition, the Three Rivers Community Foundation provided support to Lourdes’ Vocational Rehabilitation Program with a $10,000 donation. Through the generosity of Three Rivers Community Foundation and United Way, this important program will continue to help place adults recovering from mental illness into living wage jobs in our community.
