Donut Hole Ruling in Two Weeks

Pasco Donut Hole

Pasco Donut Hole

A judge delays a decision on Franklin County's donut hole  -- residents will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out if their lawsuit to stop Pasco's annexation will continue.

An attorney for the city argued that the donut hole residents and their attorney don't understand the annexation process.

But property owners say they were unfairly forced to sign an annexation petition when they bought their homes.

Those signatures allowed the city of Pasco to annex a portion of the donut hole this week

The annexation of a portion of the donut hole will prevent residents from creating their own city.

The judge in the case says she'll review all of the evidence and rule in a couple of weeks if the lawsuit to stop the annexation can go forward.
