Suspects arrested for theft, graffiti in Hermiston

The Hermiston Police Department received a call of suspicious persons in the area of W Josheph / SW 9th.  An officer was initially unable to locate the subjects, but stayed in the area and eventually located three males, 19 year old Fernando Garcia, 18 year old Christopher Garcia and a 16 year old juvenile male that all live on the 1200 block of SW 11th.  When the subjects were contacted it was found they were in possession of several stolen items from vehicles. Further investigation found these three subjects also sprayed painted several vehicles, houses and other assorted objects with graffiti. There are currently 15 known victims of either theft, or graffiti in this case. The investigation is continuing.

Fernando, Christopher Garcia and the 16 year old male were all three charged with theft, criminal mischief, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, unlawfully applying graffiti, possession of graffiti implement, and unlawful possession of a firearm.  There were several counts of the above charges with further charges pending. Fernando and Christopher were lodged at Umatilla County Jail.

The 16 year old male was cited and released to his mother, who was cited for failure to supervise.
