KPD encourages gun owners not to store weapons in cars
Kennewick Police want to remind gun owners to be responsible and ensure their weapons are secure at all times.
So far this year, the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) has investigated at total of six incidents were victims of car prowls had guns stolen from their car. Last year, KPD had seven incidents involving nine total guns.
Police warn that criminals look for opportunities to steal guns from honest law abiding citizens. For the safety of our community and the safety of law enforcement personnel, police want to remind every gun owner to properly store and secure your weapons, whether it's in your car, your shop or your home.
