Families celebrate National Adoption Day
Families from across the Tri-Cities meet at the Franklin County Courthouse this afternoon for a long-awaited celebration.
Today is National Adoption Day.
In Benton and Franklin counties, three families officially grew, as they adopted a total of five children.
Families say they have been working on adopting their children for more than a year, and they're relieved the adoptions are now official.
"We have two boys also that were adopted two years ago, so it's a pretty amazing feeling" said Natausha Barris, parent.
"It's been a long road and we're just completely blessed that it is finally over" said Bob Stalcup, parent.
One family says they are celebrating today's adoption by driving to Disneyland.
