Suspect arrested following stabbing in Yakima
Yakima Police arrest a 31-year-old man suspected of stabbing his father Saturday night at a home on the 500 block of N. 80th Avenue.
Officers responded just after 5 p.m. to reports that the male victim's adult son had attacked him with a buck knife stabbing the victim in the neck and arm. The wound to the 51-year-old victim's neck was life-threatening and he was transported to a hospital's trauma unit for treatment.
Officers located the 31-year-old suspect hiding in the back yard of the residence and took him into custody without incident. The suspect is under arrest for investigation of Attempted Second Degree Murder and has been booked into the Yakima County Jail.
Additional investigation will continue by detectives.
