City Holding Public Hearing On Budget Plan
The Yakima City Council wants to hear your opinion on next year's budget plan tonight.
The budget plan for next year includes bringing in two new fire inspector positions and hiring five new police officers.
City Manager Tony O'Rourke says the plan was influenced by a survey filled out by residents earlier this year.
The council will also be voting to approve a resolution to purchase a new S.W.A.T. vehicle for the Yakima Police Department.
The public hearing starts at seven, after the council's business hearing at six.
