City of Yakima to Adopt 2013 Budget

The Yakima City Council adopts a budget for next year that includes adding two new fire inspector positions, and five additional police officers.
City manager Tony O'Rourke says the plan was partially influenced by a survey filled out by residents earlier this year.
The council also approved a resolution to purchase a new SWAT vehicle for the Yakima Police Department --it will replace the current one built during the Vietnam War.
