The Richland School Board unanimously voted last night to make a few revisions to the February bond issue.

Jefferson Elementary School will be retained as K-5 school; the 1953 wing will be removed and new space added to serve the current Jefferson enrollment.  Lewis & Clark, Marcus Whitman, and Sacajawea Elementary Schools will be replaced at a slightly smaller size.   A HomeLink facility will be built on District property at a site to be determined.

The total amount of the bond issue will remain the same at $98 million.

"We thank all community members for their input over the past month," stated Board President Rick Jansons. "We had some difficult issues to work through, but I am confident that our community will now come together as one to support this bond issue and to provide quality learning environments for our children."
