Carrillo sentenced to five years in prison
A Umatilla County man who pleaded no contest to criminally negligent homicide for his involvement in a Hermiston murder from last year is sentenced to five years in prison.
Last month, 26 year-old Jesus Carrillo Jr. conceded that the state has enough evidence to prove he is guilty of criminally negligent homicide and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
On Monday, a judge sentenced Carrillo to five years in prison for criminally negligent homicide and 18 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Those sentences will run concurrently.
The murder happened last November at the Vintage Trailer Park on 11th Street.
