About a dozen independent distributors of various health care products meet in Pasco today to help out hungry families in the Tri-Cities.

Distributors for AdvoCare, which is a health and wellness company based in Texas, came to 2nd Harvest Food Bank this morning to help sort food.

The company also donated $20,000 to the food bank today.

AdvoCare distributors say they work to make others healthier, so helping out 2nd Harvest is a natural fit.

"It's just important because people need to see the wonderful things that 2nd Harvest is doing for the community, and they need help. They need help getting the food sorted and of course they get wonderful donations from the farmers here. But we're sorting onions today and getting rid of all the bad ones and just making sure that it's a more efficient process for them to get food to the community" said Deanne Stephens, AdvoCare distributor.

AdvoCare is celebrating it's 20th year of business.

The company is making 20 $20,000 donations to food banks across the country.
