Pendleton police are searching for a man suspected of assaulting a woman over the weekend.

Officers say 23-year-old Danny Wu, who has a "Semper Fi" tattoo on the inside of his left wrist and forearm, is suspected of physically assaulting 53-year-old Karen Lange of Pendleton.

The assault allegedly happened as Lange went for a walk along the Umatilla River parkway sometime after 6 o'clock Friday night.

However, Lange wasn't found until Saturday morning near the river levee behind the Babe Ruth / Bob White baseball field.

Officers say Lange had been physically assaulted.

She was taken to Oregon Health and Science University in Portland for her injuries, and she was last listed in critical, but stable condition.

If you have any information, you're asked to contact the Pendleton Police Department at 541-276-4411.
