Two Arrested in Richland on Multiple Charges
Richland police have arrested a man and woman from Pasco on multiple charges this weekend.
Twenty-three-year-old Eric Gaines is charged with possession of stolen property and meth, and also vehicle prowling.
Twenty-two-year-old Lidiya Fisher is charged with possesion of stolen property and vehicle prowling.
Both Fisher and Gaines have been booked into the Benton County jail on the above charges.
Richland police report they were called to a possible vehicle prowl in progress in the 1100 block of Country Ridge Drive at 4:20am on Saturday.
The caller advised 911 that a man had pulled up near the mail box of 1101 Foxtrot Lane, where he left his vehicle and walked across the street.
The witness observed him at the trunk of another vehicle and watched as he removed a bag and headed back to his car.
Officers say they confronted Gaines near the trunk of his vehicle, and Fisher was at that time, sitting in the passenger seat.
Police say they found mail, car stereos, and tools (in plain view) that appeared to have been taken from several cars in the area.
One resident positively identified the tools, a set of keys and a laser pointer found on Gaines' person.
The vehicle the suspects were in was impounded and a warrant obtained. After being taken to the jail, methamphetamine was found in Gaines' wallet.
A search warrant was served on the vehicle. Additional methamphetamine was found in the car along with stolen CD's and an amplifier.
