Public Input Sought for Richland Schools Design

Community members are invited to review the architectural designs for the three new elementary school projects in Richland tonight.

Design plans for Sacajawea, Lewis & Clark, and Marcus Whitman construction projects will be up for discussion at the Richland School District's board meeting.

The plans are to increase each school's structure from 46, 000 to 65, 000 square feet, and create two stories.

The design phase ends early next year for the 136 million dollar project, with construction expected to begin in the fall.

All three schools are also expected to be open for business by academic year 2015-2016.

The meeting will be 7 at the district administration building located on 615 Snow Avenue in Richland.
