911 Dispatchers Honored for 20 Years of Service
Three 911 employees are recognized for more than 20 years of service to the citizens of Franklin County.
The Franklin County Sheriffs Department is honoring the dispatchers today.
Sheriff Richard Lathim presented long time dispatchers Barbara Hart, Kraig Warr and Sheryl Trujillo with a certificate thanking them for 20 years of service.
They are just 3 of 15 dispatchers that took nearly 200,000 calls around the clock last year.
They said they do the job because they love it.
"It's a difficult job but it's something that's really a pleasing job to do," said Warr.
"It's a great honor to recieve a certificate that honors the amount of time and the service that we've gven to our community," said Hart. "You know you change lives everyday, you don't really think about it when you're doing this job everyday but in reality it is changing peoples lives and helping them."
Lathim, who hired all 3 dispatchers, said the stability really adds to the quality of the county.
He said a long term dedication like this should be appreciated by everyone in the county.
