Benton Franklin Fair Donates 11,000 lbs of Food
The Benton Franklin Fair is proud to donate $1,856 to 2nd Harvest Tri-Cities to help fight hunger and feed hope in our community.
The fair donated $2 for each adult admission ticket sold on opening day before 2 p.m. That money will stay local, buying 11,136 pounds of food to be distributed by 2nd Harvest in the Tri-Cities.
This is the sixth year the fair has made a donation to 2nd Harvest, with the support of Payne West Insurance. The Fair has donated more than 40,000 pounds of food in that time.
Fairs across the nation have banded together this year for the Dream Big food drive raising 1.2 million pounds to date in 2013.
