New String of Burglaries in Kennewick

The City of Kennewick is hit again with a string of burglaries over the Thanksgiving weekend.

This time, 7 commerical businesses located in eastern Kennewick within several miles of one another were broken into.

Jack's Superior Auto Body, Accurate Automotive, Blue Ribbon Recovery, Premier Woodworks, Golden Crown Auto Sales, Haps RV Storage and Bennett Rentals were hit.

The thieves broke into cars at several locations, they also stole tools and two different cars were stolen.

Don Voss and his wife own Haps RV Storage where they say two units were broken into Thanksgiving night.

The back area of the business that they rent to Blue Ribbon Recovery, a repo business, was also burglarized.

More than 2 dozen sets of car keys were stolen and a black Ford ranger was driven through this fence right off the property.

The owner of the repo business decided to relocate, causing the Voss' to lose a major part of their income.

"Sure I'm upset, we're retired and that's our retirement and I'm disabled and sure I'm concerned," said Mr. Voss.

"I can't understand why someone would steal on Thanksgiving night, I mean that's a day of thanks," said Connie Voss. "But burglars are burglars."

The Kennewick Police Department is still investigating and there are currently no suspects.

Police believe these burglaries were related to a number of other commercial burglaries in the last 2 months and could be related to a string of recent residential burglaries.
