Amber Alert Update: Kennewick Girl Allegedly Kidnapped, Warrant Issued
A 19-year-old Hood River man is wanted on suspicion of kidnapping 14-year-old Elizabeth Romero of Kennewick.
Kennewick Police have issued a warrant for Edwardo Fabien Flores Rosales who has only been in Kennewick for a few weeks. His family claims Romero left home to move to Kennewick on Thanksgiving to work for a new job.
Police have reason to believe that Rosales met Romero on Facebook.
Detectives have confirmed that the dark green Ford Escape they two are believed to be traveling in belongs to Rosales' brother.
Romero did not return to school Wedneday and was last seen getting into Romero's SUV around 11:15 a.m. that day.
Police say the pattern of behavior by Rosales is consistent with an adult male grooming a female juvenile victim for adbuction. Although Romero willingly got into the SUV, police still strongly believe that she is in danger.
The FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force is now the lead agency in this investigation with the assistance of the Kennewick Police Department.
