Chiawana Coach Steve Graff Named State HS Football Coach of the Year

Chiawana High School football head coach Steve Graff was named the Washington State Football Coaches Association and Seattle Seahawks Coach of the Year. This is the second time he has received the prestigious title. The coaches association and the Seattle Seahawks will honor Graff at the Seahawks’ game on Dec. 22. The CHS football program will also receive a $2,000 grant. 

 

On Dec. 7, the CHS Riverhawks won the 4A State Football Championship 27-26 in a last minute rally over Camas High School at the Tacoma Dome. It was the first football state title in the school’s history. As head coach since CHS opened in 2009, Graff has led his team to three league championships in five years. He was also named the 2013 Mid-Columbia Conference Coach of the Year.
