Homeless woman remains in critical condition after being struck by car in Walla Walla
A 90-year-old homeless woman remains in critical condition at a Walla Walla hospital after being struck by a vehicle yesterday morning in the 200 block of South Wilbur Avenue.
Officers and medics responded to the vehicle/pedestrian collision Thursday morning at 7:49 a.m.
Victoria Miranda-Artiaga may have stepped into the street when her small dog wandered onto the roadway after she dropped her leash.
She was struck by a northbound 1991 Buick, driven by a 29-year-old Walla Walla man. No citations have been issued and speed was not a factor in the collision. Victoria was transported by paramedics in critical condition.
The police department is seeking any witnesses who may have seen the accident. Anyone with information is requested to contact Det. Knudson at 524-4405.
