Local Woman Effected by Target Credit Card Breach

A lot of people throughout the country are still dealing with the after effects of last week's Target security breach.

Chelsy Wakefield was enjoying a normal day last Friday. She said she didn't know her debit card had been compromised until it was shut down by her bank. Chelsy found out when she suddenly couldn't pay for lunch.

Wakefield said she had just put money into her account and knew she had sufficient funds, so she called her bank.

Her bank told her that her card was on the Target compromise list.

They closed her account and told her a new card was in the mail and should arrive by Christmas.

Lucky for Wakefield her bank shut down her account before she lost any funds.

She said this won't stop her from shopping at Target in the future.
