Kennewick man suspected of renting foreclosed homes arrested
A Kenenwick man faces theft charges for allegedly breaking into foreclosed homes, re-keying them and then presenting himself as the owner and renting them to other folks.
Police say 36-year-old Corey Javon Williams, also know at Corey Pugh, was arrested on Monday after a search warrant was served in order to look for documents at a home on the 46-hundred block of West Grand Ronde.
Officers have learned that five homes belong to a mortgage companies or other people were known to have been rented by William's without the owner's consent.
Police are looking into 4 other homes that Williams had listed on Craig's List, as well as additional homes he is renting out.
