Former Walla Walla Co. District Court Judge Charged with Allegedly Possessing Child Porn
A former Walla Walla County District Court Judge has been charged with allegedly possessing child pornography on his personal computer.
John Junke is accused of two counts of first-degree and four counts of second-degree possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
He has not been arrested, but is summoned to appear in court on January 13th.
According to court documents, the child pornography was found after Junke took his computer in for repairs at a shop in Milton-Freewater, Oregon.
Under Oregon state law, a computer technician contacted authorities when they found illegal material on his computer.
Prosecutors say Junke, who served as a judge from 1991 through 1994, is cooperating with law enforcement.
