Police have arrested a Kennewick man after a 20-month-old baby was found under the influence of methamphetamines.

Twenty-one-year-old Chris Jackson, the toddler's uncle, was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and possession of methamphetamines at his home on South Newport.

The baby has since been taken into protective custody.

Police were notified after the baby was taken to Kennewick General Hospital. The child's grandmother, who is the current guardian of the baby girl, took her to KGH. A short time later doctors found the meth in the girl's system.

The grandmother told police she had left the girl with her 21-year-old son.

Police say Jackson has two other children who reside with him.  He also had two additional prior warrants for his arrest.
