Americans Visit Cancer Center

Several Tri-City Americans players visit the Tri-Cities Cancer Center today, as they prepare for the 8th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night game on Friday.

The Americans will hold a silent auction during Friday's game at the Toyota Center.

All the money raised will go to the cancer center.

Five players toured the Kennewick facility to see where the money would be going.

They say after checking out the center, they know the money is going to a great cause.

"We play hockey to play the game, but we also do it for a good influence and to help people out and to raise money for something such as this" said Jesse Mychan, Americans forward.

"Cancer affects a lot of people and raising money and awareness in this game is just a good cause" said Justin Feser, Americans captain.

The team will be wearing special pink jerseys during Friday's game as well.

The puck drops at 7:05 PM.

The Americans are playing the Everett Silvertips.
