Pasco may not change council district boundaries

It looks like the City of Pasco will not change its council district boundaries after an informal vote and discussion last night.

Currently, the city is broken up into five districts, with a council member representing each district.

There are also two at-large council members.

But for the past few months, council members have been thinking about changing the boundaries to have only three districts.

The three district option would have two council members represent each of the districts, with one at-large member.

Last night, council members discussed which option they preferred, and more council members said they would like to keep the city broken up into five districts.

City council members will officially vote on the issue next Monday.
