Twitter Threat Sends Wapato Schools Into Lockdown
Schools in Wapato were placed on lockdown today after a possible threat is made on Twitter.
Wapato police say a student from the Upper Yakima Valley was taken into custody and is being questioned about a tweet that mentioned a shooting at Wapato schools.
The district put all of the schools into lockdown from 1:35 to 2:15 while police investigated.
The lockdown was lifted once the suspect was taken into custody, and Wapato students were allowed to return home safely.
