The December windstorm that toppled trees and snapped power lines was expensive for the city of Richland.
Officials anticipate the damage total to be more than half a million dollars.
$248,644 was spent initially in overtime as crews worked to restore power and clean up the mess.
They could spend another $304,539 for repairs and to replace 100 lost trees.
The city anticipates submitting the damages to insurance and the state for additional assistance.
