Aquatic center proposal to go before voters
After years of discussion, a proposal to build a regional aquatic center in the Tri-Cities will finally go before voters.
Tonight, the Tri-Cities Regional Public Facilities District unanimously decided to ask voters to approve a one-tenth of 1% sales tax increase to fund a regional aquatic center in Pasco.
The proposed aquatic center would be built on 28 acres of land off Sandifur Parkway near Road 100.
PFD members are looking at putting the proposal on the August ballot, however that has not been finalized yet.
