WSU administrators meet in Richland
Washington State University administrators are in the Tri-Cities today and tomorrow to discuss ways to expand and improve their educational services.
Administrators are looking at leasing a 10,000 square foot building in downtown Richland to expand the college's nursing program.
The renovated space would have more room and would be equipped with state of the art simulation labs.
Administrators are also expected to vote on implementing a flat fee per credit for students enrolled in online courses through the WSU Global Campus.
Educators say having a simple flat fee would make the college more competitive around the world.
"Higher education at any level is really exciting and accessibility absolutely is the key to providing as much higher education to as many people as possible" said Kathy Barnard, WSU Commincations Executive Director.
WSU administrators are expected to announce their decisions tomorrow morning.
