Union Gap Stabbing Suspect Appears In Court



A man accused of stabbing a couple in Union Gap appears in Yakima County Court today.

35-year-old Emery Brakser could face attempted murder and assault charges after allegedly cutting the throat of his brother's girlfriend - then stabbing his brother in the face last weekend.

Union Gap Police say it happened after Brakser got into an argument with the woman at their home on South Fourth Avenue.

Bail for Brakser is set at 750 thousand dollars -- he'll be arraigned in two weeks.
