Verbal Argument Causes Possible Shots Fired
From the West Richland Police-
Summary: On July 1, 2013 approximately 12:54AM, West Richland Officers with the assistance of Richland Police and Benton County Sheriffs Department responded to a possible shots fired call involving a rifle on the 1000 block of N 61st in West Richland.
Upon arrival officers secured the area and contacted the victim residence where it was reported that a verbal argument had occured between the suspect and victim. When the suspect was asked to leave the residence witnesses observed the suspect with what they believed to be a rifle and heard a loud noise, no one was injured.
The suspect fled the scene in a green Buick passenger vehicle. Officers contacted and secured several residences in the area in search of the suspect who remains at large.
The West Richland Police Department continues to investigate this incident.
