The license of Kennewick massage practitioner Donald A. Brandsma (MA00021370) has been indefinitely suspended by the Department of Health following allegations of sexual misconduct.

During a massage session in January this year, Brandsma placed his upper body on a patient’s back while kissing her and putting his hand down her shorts. He then stated he had an erection. Brandsma’s license was immediately suspended in May pending further legal proceedings. The indefinite suspension completes the legal process.

Brandsma was accused of a similar incident in 2011.

He must meet requirements designed to protect the public before his license can be reinstated. Requirements could include a psychological evaluation and practicing under supervision.
