Event planners in Toppenish are busy planning one of the city's biggest events of the year.

More than 3,000 people are expected to attended this weekend's annual rodeo event.

The event will feature more than 150 contestants who will compete in traditional rodeo events; from saddle bronc riding and team roping, to bull riding and steer wrestling.

This year's event also marks the return of the wild cow milking event.

"A contestant has to rope the cow, and a guy, called the mugger, actually holds onto the cow while they try to get a little milk out of him," said arena director Richard Halvorson, "It's a timed event, and we're bringing that back."

Tonight's show starts at 7 -- tickets are $10, admission is free for children 7 and under.
