Scantling murder trial moved to September
The murder trial of a man accused of shooting another man to death in Kennewick in March is delayed one month today.
Grant Wayne Scantling is accused of killing 24 year-old Franklin Palmer at a duplex on East 8th Place.
At a hearing today, attorneys agreed to move the trial to September 3rd.
Attorneys also agreed that some of the statements Scantling made to Spokane police detectives after he was arrested are admissible for trial.
Scantling's trial was scheduled to begin on August 5th.
He will be back in court for another hearing on July 31st.
