Wallowa Co. man accused of assault released from jail

A Wallowa County man accused of shooting another man on Sunday was released from custody Tuesday after a Wallowa County Circuit Court judge signed a release agreement and he posted the required $50,000 bail.

According to Wallowa County District Attorney Mona Williams, 47 year-old Daniel Kent Courtney was released from the Union County Jail.

Courtney was arrested on one count of Assault in the Second Degree following the June 14th shooting of 53 year-old Randy Dickenson on Courtney's Williamson Road property between Enterprise and Joseph.

Dickenson was seriously injured and taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

He has been released from the hospital.

Oregon State Police Criminal Investigations Division, in cooperation with the Wallowa County District Attorney's Office and Wallowa County Sheriff's Office, are continuing the investigation.
