UPDATE: Body Found in Burbank, Death Ruled a Suicide
The death of a 59-year-old Burbank man, whose body was found last night at the intersection of 2nd & Birch has been ruled a suicide.
A man was driving by with his family when he found the body of a male at around 6:40 pm Tuesday in a residential area.
The Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office and firefighters were both on scene about 10 minutes later. They also located a gun near the body.
Vaughn Jensen from Benton City says when he initially saw the man lying on the side of the road, he had thought the man had passed out from heat exhaustion or was simply asleep.
"I'm pretty shocked, we weren't expecting that. We're just out for a nice evening, you know? I thought maybe he just had a little heat stroke, or maybe too much to drink or something, and then fallen down. It wasn't nothing like that at all actually. Looked pretty bad when we got a little closer to him," said Jensen.
